In 2019, he won the Presidency and convincingly defeated incumbent Poroshenko. Zelenskyy won by a landslide, receiving 73.2 percent of the vote. On May 20, 2019, he was sworn in as Ukraine’s sixth President.
The 44-year-old was elected president in 2019, but before that, in the same year, he played a fake President of Ukraine in a TV drama.
